ABOUT PETER

 Peter Francis Dalton

Peter Francis Dalton of Madison, CT, passed away May 24, 2011 after a  long illness. Peter was born on November 10, 1942 in Cambridge, MA.  After attending Rockport High School Peter graduated from Norwich  University (1965) and went on to serve in the United States Army  September 1965 to January 31, 1968. Peter served in Vietnam as a platoon  leader for the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment, A Troop, 1st Squadron  January 1, 1967 - January 31, 1968 and was honorably discharged as a  Captain. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star with Valor, a Purple  Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the  Republic of Vietnam Campaign ribbon with Device. To read about Peter's  Bronze Star with Valor recognition please see image at bottom of page.  Peter was a true patriot and not afraid to lead under pressure.  

After  working for Scott Paper Company, Peter started his own contracting  firm Dalton Company Inc. and eventually formed Dalton Enterprises, Inc.  in Cheshire, CT where he served as CEO and worked side by side with  his son John (Peter's other son Pete passed away in 1985).
